Employee Interview
Kennith Ng
“In the world of system integration, project management isn’t just about tracking timelines – it’s about harmonising complex data and diverse technologies into a single, reliable shield of our coasts.”
Kennith is the ‘engine room’ of our projects, supporting the senior management team during projects.
What do you do at Tidalis?
My role is often described as the “engine room” of our projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, I sit at the intersection of engineering, finance, and operations. I support the senior management team in orchestrating maritime and security projects, ensuring that every milestone—from initial procurement to final delivery—is met with precision. My day-to-day involves navigating different schedules and ensuring that our team provides solutions that customers exactly need.
”"It’s about keeping the professional standard in sight while never losing grip on the smallest detail."
How do you make an impact for our clients?
I make an impact by ensuring that everything we provide and integrate matches exactly what the customer needs for their unique operational environment. In maritime control, one size never fits all. I work closely with our clients to bridge the gap between their daily operational challenges and our technical solutions. Whether it’s aligning real-time sensor data or ensuring the stability of mission-critical communication links, my focus is on validating that the final integrated system reflects the client’s reality.
”"By making sure every technical detail aligns with their vision, I ensure they receive a product that is not just powerful but truly fit for purpose."
Why do you enjoy working at Tidalis and in the maritime world?
Nothing beats the immense sense of achievement when we finally “hand over the keys” to a completed project. After months of coordinating complex hardware installations and fine-tuning the software integration across multiple layers of technology, seeing the entire system go live is incredibly rewarding. It is the moment when all the technical puzzles and logistical challenges are resolved into a single, functional interface that guides ships safely into port. Knowing that our team has successfully delivered a robust, integrated solution that will protect a coastline for years to come is exactly why I love what I do.
