The Assignment
Currently, business information within the Tidalis group is fragmented across different systems, folders, and mailboxes. This makes it difficult for employees to quickly find the right information and for departments to effectively share knowledge—especially across borders.
For your graduation project, you will address this challenge by designing and building the foundation of a corporate intranet in SharePoint. This intranet will serve as the central information hub for all Tidalis companies.
Important note on scope: your deliverable is the initial setup of the intranet—including its architecture, structure, design, governance model, and editorial framework. The actual content (such as policies, process descriptions, and departmental pages) will be created and maintained by the departments themselves, both during your pilot phase and after your internship ends. Your role is to build a platform they can confidently manage and further develop.
The intranet should support, among other things:
- Policies and procedures — accessible documentation for all employees
- Processes and ways of working — easily searchable across departments and entities
- Corporate communications — news, announcements, and updates from management and departments
- Onboarding — a central place for everything new employees need in their first weeks
- New colleague introductions — helping employees get to know each other
- Cross-departmental knowledge sharing — enabling departments to manage and share their own information across the organization
