Your Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, operate, and continuously improve the cloud infrastructure and internal platforms that power our maritime solutions, including Vessel Traffic Services (VTS), Coastal Surveillance Systems, and Port Management Information Systems (PMIS).
A distinctive aspect of this role is the continuous development and application of maritime domain knowledge. You will gain a deep understanding of maritime operations, user workflows, regulatory requirements, and safety-critical environments, and use this knowledge to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platform solutions.
Platform Engineers are involved throughout the entire platform lifecycle. As you progress in your career, the role requires increasing levels of technical expertise, ownership, leadership, autonomy, and maritime domain mastery.
What do you bring?
Platform & Infrastructure Expertise
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, compute services, and platform architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or similar solutions.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and platform automation capabilities.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; experience with Go (Golang) is considered a plus.
