A highlight was the CEO Forum, where industry leaders discussed how ports can support economic growth, connectivity, and resilience. As maritime traffic grows and ports expand, the need for integrated situational awareness and smarter coordination across maritime domains becomes increasingly important.

It was a pleasure to see leaders from across the Philippine port and freeport ecosystem taking part in the discussion, including Ronnie Yambao, Senior Deputy Administrator for Operations at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority; Atty. Gil G. Taway IV, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO); Reginald Rivera, Assistant Vice President – Commercial at Asian Terminals Inc.; and Hussein P. Pangandaman, Administrator and CEO of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

At the Tidalis stand, our Ophelia Leung and Pieter van Vrijberghe de Coningh welcomed industry leaders and authorities together with our local partner Rope Systems Ltd. Discussions focused on how digital platforms can support a more integrated maritime surveillance picture across port and coastal environments, including the potential use of the Tidalis Maritime Control Services Suite Edition for the Philippines maritime domain.

As Pieter van Vrijberghe de Coningh, Managing Director Tidalis APAC, reflected:
“Ports are becoming increasingly complex operational environments. Ensuring safety, security and efficiency requires a shared, integrated view of maritime activity. Events like this help us move the conversation forward not only on technology, but also on collaboration across the maritime ecosystem. Thank you to everyone who joined the discussions in Manila.”
