  • Build a strong leadership bench by developing Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers, and Technical Leads.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and accountability across distributed teams.

Delivery & Execution Excellence

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of VTS software components and solutions, aligned with product milestones and customer commitments.
  • Establish and oversee engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and site reliability.
  • Partner closely with Solution Delivery to support customer deployments and integration efforts.
  • Oversee frontend-deployed engineering capacity in VTS streams to ensure field adaptability and customer satisfaction.

Technical Governance & Architecture

  • Provide architectural leadership and ensure coherent system design across all VTS modules.
  • Champion engineering standards, security-by-design principles, and regulatory compliance (e.g., IALA, IMO, IEC 62443).
  • Review and approve key technical decisions, technology stack choices, and platform evolutions.
  • Drive modernization initiatives (e.g., containerization, microservices, event-driven architecture).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product, Platform Engineering, Customer Engineering, and Solution Delivery to ensure end-to-end value realization.
  • Represent engineering in customer discussions, proposals, and strategic projects as a domain expert.
  • Contribute to strategic partnerships and technical alliances in the VTS ecosystem.
