Internship Data Security

For distribution of data within our systems, multicast is being used in various locations in order for the system to fully function. Inherently, multicast is not very secure on its own. With the recent developments in both customer demands and market-wide standards in cyber security, we want a more secure implementation of the data streams, which still benefits from the advantage of multicast.

The assignment can be divided into the following steps:

1. Inventory of requirements of a solution within our product; Taking into account the reliable exchange of data.
2. Design of the solution
3. Investigation of existing implementations for the required software parts
4. Implementation of the key exchange API.
5. Example implementation of the key exchange client and data encryption for the existing services.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or a Master’s study in a relevant field (ICT, Mathematics, Electronics or Physics);
• Fluency in English (oral and written). Dutch is a plus;
• Analytical and creative thinking;
• Basic knowledge of networking (unicast, multicast, etc…);
• Affinity with cyber security.
